Last month saw the much anticipated opening of Peninsula, a vibrant new mixed-use project in the heart of Tijuana, Mexico. With construction now officially complete and leasing in full swing, the project is anticipated to have its grand opening later in the year.

Peninsula is a new ground-up development in downtown Tijuana that seeks to be the largest social and lifestyle space to reflect Tijuana's unique identity. The large outdoor retail center was designed by JERDE to provide guests with a dynamic experience in a natural setting. The individual buildings within the retail center have been designed not only to create strong identity for individual tenants but to eliminate the feel of a traditional mall.  

The perimeter of the project is designed to be extremely porous, inviting the public in, with an eye toward making Peninsula the new central hub of the community.
