The 2021 MIPIM Awards finalists have been announced and the JERDE-designed Adana Town Center has been named one of the projects in the Best Shopping Center category.  A 13-member jury selected 50 projects from 21 countries that now go forward to the finals of the international real estate industry's premier awards, with the official ceremony to be held September 8th in Cannes, France.

This year, in addition to the usual criteria, the jury also looked at how the project adapts to the consequences of the pandemic on the way people live, work, shop and entertain themselves.

Developed by Esas Gayrimenkel, the Adana Town Center is an integrated retail and entertainment project that combines a controlled series of spaces with varied experiences to create a unique destination. The flexibility and adaptability in planning and the diversity in spaces, events, and attractions creates public venues that will allow the project to evolve over time, providing value to the project while creating a catalyst for the surrounding area as the premier attraction for the City of Adana and the region.
