Peninsula is a next-generation mixed-use project in Tijuana located at a prime gateway site just south of the Tijuana International Airport at the crossroads of Via Rapida Poiniente, Via Rapida Oriente, and Highway 2.
The massing is very porous from the perimeter, opening up multiple sightlines and inviting people in. The buildings have been designed to create strong identity for individual tenants and eliminate the feel of the traditional mall in every way.
Peninsula is going to beat the expectations of a traditional mixed-use. It provides authenticity, creating not only architecture and urban space but a place that you've never seen before. When you experience the space, you feel like you're in a real town versus being in a mall that happens to be outside.
The Central Plaza space has abundant shade, with seating, picnic, and viewing areas.
The Sky Terraces Zone contains multiple decks on all three levels arrayed amongst vertical tree canopies, which extend the useable roof space. This signature vertical urban oasis space anchors the center of the project .
The iconic sky deck on the upper level provides a place for flexible, changeable space for the tenant to showcase new directions in an outdoor-like setting. This third level attraction helps draw people up and through the project.
