As visitors arrive at the main entrance along the southeast side of the project, they encounter the mouth of a canal that harkens back to the ancient waterways that were such a vital part of the economy of the mighty Aztec Empire.

A pathway at the entrance leads to a grand staircase which visitors can use to access a food hall enclosed in glass.
