Tammy McKerrow

Senior Vice President, Senior Design Principal

Tammy McKerrow has been with JERDE since 1986. Mentored under the collaborative, immersive, and creative environment of Jon Jerde, Tammy was chosen early on to illustrate many of Jon’s visionary master plans. She has emerged as a visionary design leader through her experience drawing hundreds of thought-provoking concepts over her 32 years with JERDE. While leading the design from blank paper to completion on 20 of the firm's built projects, she has worked and traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Japan, China, Middle East, Australia, Buenos Aires, and Mexico. Her designs are bold and pragmatic, relishing every challenge, and the solutions are rooted in the local place, culture and lifestyle aspirations. Her ideas are always multi-faceted, people driven, and pedestrian-friendly, with a focus on social and economic success, as well as city regeneration strategies. The projects span a large range of scale and building types. Tammy earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati. Additionally, she studied Comparative Cultures at the American Institute of Foreign Study and Advanced Art at the Pratt Institute in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
