To create a village-like community center, Jerde combined tenants that serve local needs - department stores, specialty shops, cinema, dining and generous open spaces.
When Super Brand Mall opened in 2002, it became the largest luxury retail center in Shanghai. Just as importantly, it introduced a community feeling not found in most of the city's commercial complexes.
