Quay Quarter Sydney

Uniquely experimental, Quay Quarter creates a 24-hour urban living room. "Discovery" programming is inserted at multiple levels, creating large and small public spaces within what is ordinarily a private building. This gives the local community a sense of belonging.
The Precinct represents a great opportunity to renew and reposition a significant area, in an important inner-city location at Circular Quay, Sydney's traditional 'front door', and a key public space within Global Sydney.
Programming suggested uses and relationships on the ground plane β across the Two city blocks and across both the private and public realm β the report explores internal public circulation systems (laneways, arcades and carriageways) and the issue of rooftop access for more public and active uses across the precinct.
