Qetaifan Islands Master Plan
- Lusail, Qatar 2007
- Total Building Area: approx 320,000 sqm
The Qetaifan Islands – a cluster of four islands off the Lusail coast – are an overall luxury resort environment shaped by the historical, natural, and cultural influences of Qatar. The Qetaifan Islands are distinguished into two entities: The Commons Islands (southern three islands) and The Resort Island (northernmost island). The Qetaifan Islands development is generally low to medium density, embodies a strong emphasis on the landscape, and emphasizes connections with its immediate marine context. Much of the Qetaifan Islands benefits from waterfront adjacency, while other areas enjoy dramatic views or connections with highly attractive open space. The Qetaifan Islands are inter-connected by both vehicular and pedestrian bridges and are connected to the Lusail mainland through two iconic bridges.
