Balaklava Green Resort Master Plan

  • Balaklava, Ukraine 2010
  • Total Building Area : approx 343,000 sqm

Balaklava Green Resort is the prime world-class sustainable resort experience located on the Black Sea. The Crimean Peninsula is internationally known for its unspoiled natural terrain, unique vegetation, pleasant climate and rich history. With a design that incorporates spectacular views, an abundance of natural beauty, the artistic use of water and landscape to create place, and the exciting synergy between the natural and the manmade creates Balaklava Green Resort as one of the most desirable resort destinations in the world. The incredible variety of resort-oriented functions, nestled within the terraced and cascading setting of Balaklava Bay, creates a compelling memorable experience. The Balaklava Green Resort consists of synergetic districts, acting as "anchors" across the overall Tavros site to assure that the resort will be utilized to its fullest potential. This planning strategy ensures that all components of the development, regardless of the placement on site, are commercially sustainable. The project is organized to offer a visitor or resident a new experience of discovery upon each visit. In addition to key programmatic districting concepts, Balaklava Green Resort will host a variety of festivals throughout the year, adding to the already well established events like the Balaklava Medieval Festival, and establishing a multi-layered resort experience.
